Agency:
Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES), located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Full-time position. On-site in Oklahoma City, OK. Salary based on education and experience.

Position Summary

Supports IT Enterprise Governance by maintaining and improving core governance functions across the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Application Portfolio Management (APM), and Software Asset Management (SAM) domains. Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with established frameworks while working within Service Now as the primary ITSM platform. Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to process agency requests, perform daily operational updates, contribute to application service mapping activities, and advance best practices for SAM.

Develops and delivers reporting, supports strategic decision‑making through data analysis, and assists in maturing enterprise configuration and asset governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update CMDB, APM, and SAM records based on agency requests while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governance standards.
  • Perform daily operational maintenance within Service Now to support CMDB health, APM inventory accuracy, and SAM lifecycle activities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—Technical Owners, Application Managers, Product Owners, Infrastructure teams, Service Owners, and Vendor partners—to drive data quality and process consistency.
  • Support application service mapping efforts by gathering needed information, validating relationships, and contributing to standardized mapping practices.
  • Develop, generate, and maintain operational and analytical reporting for CMDB, APM, and SAM to support leadership visibility and decision‑making.
  • Contribute to the implementation and refinement of frameworks, guardrails, and best practices across configuration management, application portfolio governance, and software asset management.
  • Participate in audits, attestation cycles, remediation activities, and data quality initiatives to ensure integrity and compliance across all governance datasets.
  • Document findings, update process materials, and maintain clear, concise records to support transparency and repeatability.
  • Provide presentations, dashboards, and updates to stakeholders using Service Now reporting, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other visualization tools.
  • Analyze business needs, industry trends, and operational insights to recommend improvements in CMDB, APM, and SAM governance.
  • Continuously learn Service Now capabilities, data governance techniques, and best practices within Configuration Management, APM, and SAM.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of OMES, partner agencies, and IT Enterprise Governance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Work in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. Noise level is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

One to two years of professional experience in a large IT enterprise environment with demonstrated familiarity in Configuration Management and/or Software or Hardware Asset Management. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, substituting twelve semester hours of coursework in computer science, management information systems, or a related field for each year of required experience.

Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who
  • Have familiarity with configuration management principles, CI relationships, data models, and CMDB best practices, including foundational understanding of APM and SAM governance processes.
  • Understand IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and processes such as Change Management, Incident Management, Asset Management, and Service Request practices.
