Description
We are currently looking for aFull Time Employee Health LPNto join our Employee Health Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.
Summary:
The Employee Health Nurse endeavors to promote health and safety to all employees by facilitating an Employee Health Program which includes disease detection, prevention, and treatment; following up of employee illnesses and injuries; conducting employee health screenings; and, promoting a safe work environment. This position is located at the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health (CNDH).
Responsibilities:
- Provides and advocates age and culturally appropriate, holistic patient care based upon facility mission statements and as outlined in policies and procedures
- Advocates and participates in patient and patient family education i.e., diagnosis, medications and discharge instructions
- Collects patient data in initial screening and documents as necessary
- Assists with preparing orders for labs, tests, and medications per provider’s direction
- Administers immunizations and TB skin test
- Assist with coordination, planning, and implementation health clinics e.g Flu, Immunization, etc
- Performs required screenings for any employee who receives a Blood Borne Exposure (BBPE) and reports the incident to the Environment of Care Specialist or Environment of Care Manager for tracking purposes
- Records care given and reports patient care observations
- Calculates and safely administers all prescribed medications according to nursing standards and facility policy and protocols
- Participates in screening of patients to include vital signs
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work area
- Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
- Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
- Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
- Maintains and promotes professionalism
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
- Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Experience:
Essential:
- 1 year directly related experience
Education:
Essential:
- High School, GED or Equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
Credentials:
Essential:
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- Pass general background check
Working Conditions:

- Pass pre-employment drug test
Nonessential:
- Works in a hospital or clinic environment
- Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs
