Position ProfileThe Standley Systems Service Technician will provide customer service by maintaining, servicing and repairing office equipment at customer locations within the Durant territory. This position will report to the appropriate Field Service Manager for the assigned location.
Responsibilities- On-site repair and maintenance of copier/fax/scanner equipment
- Refurbish used equipment, which includes cleaning and repairing
- Minimal setup and installation at the customer's location
- Troubleshoot non-printing issues
- Provide outstanding support by meeting customer's needs in a courteous and timely manner
- On-site maintenance and repair of copier and multi-functional products in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Maintain and expand current technical knowledge by attending training classes and meetings
- Maintain proper parts inventory in vehicle
- Use diagnostic tools, service aids, and product schematics to assess and resolve equipment and system failures
- In shop repair and maintenance of internal equipment
- In shop setup and installation for equipment and accessories
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education And/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills are required with networking skills a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- A+ certification preferred
- Network certification and or training desirable
- Current valid driver’s license & proof of insurance
- Good driving record
- HS Diploma

- Mechanical aptitude required
- PC & Microsoft skills
Physical Requirements
- Operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery, or power tools;
- Repairing, maintaining, or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, machinery, or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage;
- Operation, maintenance, or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including, but not limited to electric, gas, and water utilities, power generation, or distribution.
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screen. Standley Systems has federal contracts that require compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, therefore medical marijuana license-holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for the position.
