Union Payroll Specialist
Salary:$70,000 - $75,000
• Play a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll administration across multiple union environments and job sites.
• Partner closely with HR, Accounting, Operations, and Project Management teams, offering strong cross-functional visibility.
• Work in a stable, essential industry with opportunities to broaden your payroll and compliance knowledge.
• Contribute directly to process improvements that enhance payroll accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Process payroll for union employees across multiple unions, job sites, and jurisdictions.
• Calculate and remit union deductions, fringe benefits, and trust fund contributions.
• Prepare certified payroll reports and required union compliance documentation.
• Audit payroll data for compliance with collective bargaining agreements and prevailing wage laws.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and maintain accurate employee payroll records.
• Collaborate with operations, HR, and accounting teams to validate payroll and job costing information.
• Experience processing payroll in a union, construction, or similar labor-intensive environment.
• Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, union wage rates, and fringe benefit contributions.
• Experience with certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage requirements.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
