Position OverviewThe Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team with primary accountability to accelerate revenue generation and drive sustainable business growth. The CCO will develop commercial strategic plans focusing on where to play and deliver sustainable revenue streams within B2B food and beverage, food service, nutraceutical and functional end use markets. He/She will create long-range forecasts and growth plans to successfully achieve targets, optimize go-to-market performance, and analyze performance.
He/She will be responsible for preparing and presenting commercial strategic and executional plans and updates at Board meetings.
In addition, the CCO will serve in a tactical role to ensure the Sales team and customer facing departments including the R&D applications team are aligned to an integrated commercial/revenue strategy. He/She will translate the commercial strategy into executable actions, expand strategic customer relationships, and strengthen BFI’s presence as a go-to partner in the sweet, savory and wellness nutrition segments.
Reporting to the CEO, the CCO is a business partner to the senior team and BFI’s Board Members and will need to function as both a revenue officer and tactical leader who enjoys engaging in the commercial, business development and operational side of the business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record demonstrating increased revenue, create a durable customer-centric approach along with sustainable plans that drive growth.
Must possess strategic out of the box thinking, astute knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape, be a superior negotiator and communicator, and a very capable influencer across the enterprise while maintaining the ability to roll up their sleeves.
