Purpose Statement
St. Philip the School in Addison, IL is seeking candidates for an intervention/resource teacher. The primary duty of an intervention/resource teacher is to ensure that students have access to the resources necessary to attain maximum achievement. The intervention/resource teacher supports students both directly and indirectly with IEPs, ISPs, 504 plans and accommodation letters. The intervention/resource teacher is seen as an advocate for students.
The intervention/resource teacher works with small groups of students, both in a push-in and push-out model, for both math and reading, to support a student's overall academic growth. The ideal candidate has an unwavering belief that all students can learn, is driven and can take initiative, is well organized and detail-oriented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Job Specific
- Candidates must hold a current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or a valid out of state certificate from a state with which Illinois has reciprocity. LBS1 certification preferred.
- Holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or a related discipline that is applicable to the teaching assignment. Master's degree preferred.
- Practicing Catholic preferred but is required to teach religion or theology courses.
