Summer Internship - Engineering

This position will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance on developing work instructions and standard operating procedures, preventative maintenance procedures, and parts inventory.

• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support production training
• Assist with developing training materials for new line operators
• Assist with developing and implementing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program
• Work with Line Leaders to schedule and maintain PMs
• Create PM training materials for onboarding new employees
• Assist with creating Parts Inventory Catalog and Parts Ordering System
• Maintain records for equipment repairs, parts replaced, etc.

• Update and create engineering drawings
• Assist with COE parts distribution and organization
• Support project‑based initiatives aimed at improving Safety, Quality, and Productivity (S, Q, P)
• Collaborate with local suppliers of direct material parts to support sourcing and production needs

Hourly rate: $23.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.

• Must be enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Works
• Proven verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to expand and improve problem solving skills
• Commitment to providing customer service
• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to be on feet up to 8 hours per shift
• Use of hands and fingers to perform job functions
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
• Ability to work in a non‑climate controlled environment, 90°F plus
