Senior Compliance Specialist

Universal Gem is Illinois’ premier full-service Terminal Operator (TO), providing comprehensive support to gaming businesses, including bars, restaurants, and gaming cafes. Our services include assistance with gaming and liquor licensing, site planning, equipment installation, maintenance, and a full range of marketing solutions to help our partners thrive and grow.

This is a part‑time hybrid role based in the Greater Chicago Area for a Senior Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the company in its interactions with the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB). The IGB serves as regulatory body for all gambling activities across the state of Illinois. As a regulated Terminal Operator, we must maintain and coordinate various licensing activates with the IGB.

• Cross functional coordination between our sales and operations teams to support the onboarding and licensing of new and existing customers
• Receive, review, and analyze applications seeking licensure from the Illinois Gaming Board.
• Primary contact with the IGB to oversee any submission, review and/or question resolution as it pertains to licensing and applications.

• Strong knowledge and experience in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance
• Some experience in Legal Compliance, including knowledge of gaming industry laws and regulations
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and provide clear compliance guidance
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, environment in the Greater Chicago Area
• Prior experience in the gaming or regulatory industry is a strong plus
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving compliance issues
• Being a Licensed Notary Public is a strong plus
