ACCOUNTANT – Village of Addison, Finance Department

Salary Range: $87,881 – $121,648.

This position is a full‑time at‑will, FLSA non‑exempt role requiring 37.5 hours per week, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work may extend beyond the normal schedule to meet job requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine accounting functions under the direction of the Assistant Finance Director.
  • Support the Village’s daily accounting needs through various administrative and financial processes.
  • Assist the Finance Director with accounting tasks, promoting the principle of separation of duties.
  • Maintain the General Ledger, prepare for the Village’s annual audit, and process month‑end and year‑end journal entries.
  • Handle payroll processing and special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with the annual budget preparation.
  • Exercise excellent judgment and conduct detailed analytical work with high financial accuracy.
  • Work is of above‑average difficulty and is reviewed by the Director of Finance or designee for progress and compliance with procedures.
