What You’ll Do
Drive revenue growth, expand market share, and increase profitability within your assigned territory. This role leads industrial focused sales strategy for the market, aligns resources to maximize customer penetration, and strengthens key manufacturer and customer partnerships. You will position Viking Electric as the distributor of choice across the regional industrial market.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales team by fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Directly supervise team members, set clear performance expectations, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Lead both direct and indirect reports to achieve sales and development goals.
- Drive talent decisions including hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Coach and mentor industrial sales associates to improve capability, engagement, and results.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to grow market share, revenue, and gross profit.
- Maintain strong knowledge of market trends through customer engagement, competitive insights, and industry networking.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key customers and manufacturer partners.
- Partner with general and sales managers to align regional strategy and achieve company objectives.
- Establish and manage annual and long-range sales, profitability, and expense goals.
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with leadership or team management responsibility.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within distribution (industrial/electrical preferred).
- Strong understanding of industrial products, applications, and customer segments.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and developing high-performing teams.
