Overview
Warehouse Manager responsible for opening the shop, maintaining a clean and safe facility, coordinating maintenance, and managing weekly and monthly facility tasks.
Starting at: $40,000/year.
Responsibilities- Begin by opening the shop for the day and ensuring there is no debris around the building.
- Perform an overall walk around vehicles to check for damages.
- Dump trash throughout the building and ensure proper disposal.
- Check all dump trailers to ensure they are taken to the landfill when ready.
- Clean and process equipment that was used in the field.
- Conduct general cleaning of the building.
- Visually inspect the facility; if anything does not function at 100% capacity, schedule a repair or replacement ASAP (examples: doors, door locks, gates and locks, surveillance camera, light fixture, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units and controls).
- Maintain access to the building in a clean and safe condition during the winter (remove snow and spread salt).
- Crew chief truck checks. Every Thursday after the meeting. (See truck checklist and report it to the ESR Manager.)
- Check mileage on vehicles to ensure scheduled maintenance (oil changes, fluid changes, tire rotations, etc.).
- Check dump trailers to ensure they are 100% functional and equipped with spare tires.
- Review the inventory list to confirm supplies and relay shortages to the ESR Manager.
- Dedicate one or two hours of office time to organize lists and needs in Google Sheets.
- Meet or call the heads of every department to determine any facilities tasks needed by them.
- Lawn maintenance including flower beds.
- Quarterly:
Do a full equipment inventory list to identify missing or damaged items. - Have crews pull all equipment from vehicles for cleaning and damage checks on interiors.
- Visually inspect fire extinguishers, sprinklers and the fire alarm; notify the authorized contractor if any issues are found. All fire extinguishers require annual inspections; read dates on tags, same with the fire alarm located on the South East corner of the building.
- Meet with the GM to review performance and discuss additional tasks under Facilities Manager guidelines.
