My client, a well‑established manufacturer of precision CNC machined components, is seeking a Plant Engineer to own maintenance engineering, reliability, and facilities performance within a 100‑employee production facility. This is not a desk‑only engineering role. This is a visible, high‑impact position where your troubleshooting ability, mechanical aptitude, and practical problem‑solving skills directly affect production output and operational stability.

The Plant Engineer serves as the primary engineering resource responsible for industrial maintenance, equipment reliability, and facilities infrastructure within a precision CNC machining environment.
This role combines hands‑on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance execution, facility oversight, and project support. You will ensure mechanical, electrical, and building systems operate safely and efficiently while driving improvements that reduce downtime and increase operational reliability.
What You’ll Do- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment and machinery
- Inspect, repair, and maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, roofing, security alarm, and fire systems
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and uptime
- Document and update maintenance activities including work orders, maintenance logs, and preventive maintenance records
- Oversee outside contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within scope
- Support capital improvement projects related to equipment upgrades and facility improvements
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Hands‑on troubleshooting mindset with plant‑floor experience
- Experience supporting CNC machining or precision manufacturing equipment preferred
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and coordinate outside contractors
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
