This role is responsible for developing, programming, and optimizing vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis turn-mill machining processes with a strong focus on cycle time reduction, process ownership, quality consistency, and scalable production readiness in a high‑mix manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize CNC turning processes (vertical, horizontal, and multi‑axis turn‑mill platforms)
  • Create and maintain CNC programs using Top Solid or equivalent CAM systems
  • Design tooling, fixturing, and work holding strategies to support efficient production
  • Lead process prove‑outs, setup validation, and first‑article execution
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues directly on the shop floor
  • Drive cycle time reduction, throughput improvements, and process standardization
  • Collaborate with machinists, quality, and engineering teams to ensure stable production
  • Support quoting efforts through manufacturability reviews and time estimation
  • Document process standards and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory quality requirements (including AS9100 environments)
The right candidate brings
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering or CNC programming experience focused on turning
  • Strong experience with vertical and horizontal turning operations
  • CNC programming experience using Top Solid or comparable CAM software
  • Solid understanding of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, GD&T, and blueprint reading
  • Hands‑on experience supporting production in a machining environment
  • Ability to work directly with operators to solve real‑time shop floor issues
Preferred Experience
  • Turn‑mill / mill‑turn programming experience
  • Contract machining or high‑mix production background
  • Aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environments (AS9100)
  • Fixture and work holding design capability
  • FAI / process validation exposure
  • Experience supporting automation or efficiency‑driven production environments
Eligibility
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction and without the need for current or future sponsorship.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
