Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings to understand job requirements and specifications;
Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to blueprints with some assistance as needed;
Turn on welding machines, connect cables properly, and adjust machine settings to achieve proper weld penetration and appearance;
Set up and operate gas regulators and torches by turning regulator valves, activating gas flow, and adjusting gas mixtures and pressure to obtain the desired flame for cutting;
Grind and finish welds and surfaces to meet quality and appearance standards
