We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist III for our manufacturing client located in Addison, ILto set up and operate complex, proven, and new production parts with little to no supervision. This position is responsible for producing precision-machined components that meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive CNC lathe experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and comprehensive knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, CNC programming, tooling, and precision inspection.
This role will also support NPI activities, provide input to Programming and Engineering, and contribute to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Hours:
1st Shift 6:00am-2:30pm with OT as required
Pay Range:$34-$38/hr.
- Set up and operate complex CNC lathe jobs with minimal supervision.
- Load and run parts according to manufacturing plans and product specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and update fixturing as required.
- Pull and load CNC machining programs.
- Monitor tooling wear and replace tooling according to established tool-life requirements.
- Perform tool and offset changes during setup and production.
- Complete setups for production parts and NPI work, including CFA, FA, and SCR jobs.
- Submit successful internal First Article parts to Quality Assurance for approval.
- Inspect machined parts using precision measuring equipment, including:
Micrometers Calipers Height gauges Pin gauges Other mechanical inspection tools - Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, manufacturing plans, and product specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and process-related issues.
- Provide feedback during Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.
- Work with Programming to provide feedback regarding feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining requirements during NPI setups.
- Consistently meet established job standard times and communicate variances to the Lead or Supervisor.
- Deburr work-in-process parts as required.
- Clock in and out of operations according to work-order sequence requirements.
- Follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively from sketches when required.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
