Quality Control Associate

Responsibilities- Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, customer specifications, and job order requirements
- Perform testing (e.g., tensile, seal strength) and precise measurements using tools such as rulers (to 1/64") to verify product integrity
- Conduct detailed visual inspections, including color accuracy and consistency across production runs
- Identify, document, and communicate quality issues to production teams for timely resolution
- Complete all required quality documentation, labeling, and records accurately and on time
- Pack finished products and prepare them for shipment according to established procedures
- Follow all GMP, quality control procedures, and cleanroom protocols, including proper PPE use
- Collaborate with team members while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
- Experience in quality control, lab work, or a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform precise measurements using tools (e.g., rulers to 1/64")
- Strong visual inspection skills with ability to identify defects and inconsistencies
- Familiarity with GMP and quality control practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to stay focused during repetitive tasks and sit for extended periods
- Clear communication skills to report quality issues effectively
- Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience (preferred, not required)
- Experience in a cleanroom or controlled environment
- Familiarity with PPE and handling specialized materials
- Interest in healthcare packaging or material science
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to work closely with others
- Motivation to learn, grow, and advance within the company
This is a full-time, first-shift role (7:00 a.m.
- 3:00 p.m.), with 4-6 weeks of training on the same schedule. You'll primarily work in a cleanroom lab alongside a small team, performing detailed inspections and measurements while seated for extended periods. The role requires strict adherence to GMP and cleanroom protocols, including PPE use (steel-toed shoes) and restrictions such as no fragrances or phone use. You'll collaborate with production teams and occasionally interact with clients.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, IL.
Pay and Benefits- Pay range: $18.00 - $18.00/hr
