In this role you will perform documented inspections in the verification of conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The QC Inspector is responsible for the content of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to customer’s and Flowserve’s specifications and international standards. Besides, the QC Inspector is responsible for defining, advising and controlling all project required QC documents.
The QC Inspector reports directly to the QC Supervisor/Manager.
- Documenting dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures. Inspector will be responsible for performing regular audits on processes, trainings and work cells to ensure quality of product and safety of employees is secure.
- Conduct regular and random audits on safety related initiatives like TPM, Training of new employees, cross training, process integrity in terms of quality and safety.
- Documenting non‑conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process.
- Reviewing and verifying internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, NDE personnel with regard to Non‑Destructive Examinations (NDE), welding procedures and/or other applicable requirements.
- Reviewing and approving supplier’s manufacturing and testing documents/procedures and taking care for approval (when required) of these documents by the customer, his customer and the authorized inspection body.
- Preparing and defining test and inspection requirements for the required projects such as ITP and procurement specifications.
- And any other duties assigned.
- HS Diploma / GED and / or 0‑2 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of welding, NDE and quality systems.
- Knowledge of the established quality standards, laws and regulations of national and international authorities.
- Must have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly and test operations.
- Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can‑do attitude.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.
- Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted, and perform duties while standing for extended periods of time.
- Effective utilization of CMMs is a plus.
The pay range for this position is $19.99 - $29.96 per hour, depending upon experience.
