Be part of something exciting at Porter Pipe & Supply! This position is based in Addison, IL, at our headquarters, where you will join a thriving team. As a member of our Inside Sales Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining our culture of customer service excellence. Our Inside Sales Representatives are required to have strong sales and customer service experience within the PVF/plumbing industry, with a focus on building relationships, delivering timely solutions, and supporting our outside sales team.

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of sales experience in the commercial PVF/plumbing industry preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build rapport with both internal and external customers.
• A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical thinking.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
• Service-minded approach in every customer interaction.

• Provide quotes to customers based on technical product specifications.
• Support the Outside Sales team through timely quotations and efficient order processing.
• Handle inbound customer calls and resolve inquiries with professionalism.
• Follow up on orders, expedite when necessary, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with management, vendors, and purchasing to meet customer needs.
• Monitor and address backorders in a timely manner.
• Close sales directly and in partnership with the Outside Sales team.
• Coordinate quotations and sales orders through company software (SX & TWL).
• Market and promote the company’s service offerings.
• Assist with counter, warehouse, and will-call support as needed.
