Job Summary

At March Equipment, we are seeking a reliable and versatile Service Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain used kitchen equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and technical skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and experience with gas, electric, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, safety‑focused, and willing to perform field service work when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain used equipment.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and identify needed repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment refurbishments.
  • Load, unload, move, and safely lift equipment as required.
  • Deliver equipment to customer locations when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with technicians, warehouse personnel, and management to complete projects efficiently.
  • Service and repair equipment utilizing gas, electric, and refrigeration systems.
  • Complete service reports, repair documentation, and parts usage records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
  • Travel to customer locations to perform field service, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience repairing and servicing commercial or industrial equipment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of gas, electric, and refrigeration systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to safely lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • EPA certification or refrigeration experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds or more with assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel locally for field service assignments.

Schedule

Full‑time, Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime and field service calls as needed.
