Salary Range: $20 to $22 per hour based on qualifications and experience
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM CT;
This role may be required to work overtime.

Job SummaryThe Maintenance Assistant will support and aid the Maintenance Manager in addressing routine maintenance and corrective maintenance and repairs to machinery and the facilities.
Duties/Responsibilities- Performs machinery maintenance duties such as routine servicing of equipment, lubricating moving parts and gears on production machinery, monitoring equipment performance and addressing machinery breakdowns, and more.
- Maintains building facilities by performing general repairs and upkeep. This may include duties such as replacing lighting, painting, maintaining electrical systems, and more.
- Performs routine inspections of machinery and facilities and documents status through hand‑written inspection reports.
- Follows proper safety, quality, and other company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must be able to speak, understand, read, and write in English. Bilingual applicants with the ability to speak and understand Spanish are preferred.
- Neat penmanship in order to ensure inspection reports and more are legible.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and openness to learn new things.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Previous maintenance experience with knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is preferred.
- Technical/vocational training or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields is preferred.
- This job takes place within a shop environment which includes exposure to moderate to loud machine noise, vibrations, and fluctuating seasonal temperatures. Steel toed boots or appropriate PPE is required.
- This role requires the capability to perform activities such as standing, bending, walking, and crouching for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
