Peak Seasonal Repair Specialist

Overview

The Peak Season Repair Specialist serves as a pathway to full‑time employment with Safelite. In this role you will utilize our industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs. You will champion the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset while striving to bring unexpected happiness to customers by completing jobs with the highest quality standards.

• Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands‑on) focusing on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
• Repair chips, cracks and other auto‑glass related issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals utilized throughout the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.

• Competitive weekly pay up to $20 per hour.
• Paid training and all tools and resources you need to be successful.

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required by law to operate a company vehicle.
• On‑the‑job training and completion of Safelite Safe Tech certification.
• Minimum age 18 years.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs for short periods; assist an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26 to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist the body.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all laws; agreement to be monitored by camera and GPS.
• Professionalism and passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Knowledge of handling chemicals, including flammable chemicals, as required by the Safelite Way of Fitting.
• Flexibility to work scheduled days with start and end times that accommodate customer needs.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and interpreting English and technical directions.
• Effective oral and written communication via phone and electronic means.
• Maintain a professional appearance in line with company uniform and PPE policies.
• Resilience under professional or personal pressure, including time pressure and productivity measures.

This position involves driving duties that will be monitored through the use of cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.
