Freight Specialist

Job Overview

Freight Specialist (internally known as Eats Freight for Breakfast). Responsible for guaranteeing all outgoing Distribution Center parts are audited for quantity errors, missed picks, or damaged items to ensure customer orders are correct and shipped in a timely manner. Works closely with Customer Service and Order Expeditors to resolve any item or order issues.

• Process large customer orders to ensure they meet Parts Town’s quality standards and are shipped on schedule.
• Meditiously pack and wrap outgoing shipments to ensure safe delivery and identify any damaged packages or parts.
• Work across multiple platforms including High Jump, Syspro, UPS World Ship and Salesforce.
• Provide timely shipping rate quotes and order updates to Customer Service teams, schedule freight carrier pickups and prepare proper shipping documents.
• Operate forklift to maneuver skids, load trucks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• In good standing, not on disciplinary action, and a top performer in current role.
• Passionate about time management and organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Able to move around for long periods of time and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Vehicle certified or willing to be trained.
• Willing to work Monday through Friday 10:00 AM‑6:30 PM and can work Saturdays as needed.
• All‑star communicator, proficient in English (written and verbal).
