About the RoleCPGIO is seeking an Assistant Manager, Inbound / Outbound Receiving & Transportation to support daily receiving, shipping, and transportation operations within our fulfillment center.
This role is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound workflows, supporting inventory accuracy, coordinating dock operations, and helping manage carrier and transportation activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced ecommerce warehouse environment.
Responsibilities May Include
Overseeing inbound and outbound receiving activities including unloading, inspection, receiving, and put-away
Coordinating carrier appointments and dock scheduling
Ensuring shipments are processed accurately and within required timelines
Monitoring dock-to-stock performance and supporting resolution of delays or bottlenecks
Supervising and supporting receiving associates and warehouse staff
Maintaining inventory accuracy within the WMS and assisting with discrepancy resolution
Supporting overage, shortage, and damage investigations with vendors and carriers
Assisting with cycle counts, inventory audits, and warehouse organization
Enforcing safety procedures and equipment compliance in dock and receiving areas
Communicating inbound/outbound updates, delays, and inventory issues to leadership
Supporting shift handoffs with clear documentation of open work and priorities
Helping drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
RequirementsPrevious warehouse receiving, logistics, transportation, or fulfillment experience preferred
Supervisory or assistant management experience in a warehouse environment strongly preferred
Experience with WMS systems and inventory management tools preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Forklift or dock operations experience is a plus
