Position SummaryEverflow Supplies is seeking a safety-focused and dependable Cherry Picker Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, staging, and preparing customer orders for shipment while operating a cherry picker in a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate has experience operating warehouse equipment, using RF scanners, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Safely operate a cherry picker to retrieve and store products throughout the warehouse.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any mechanical or safety concerns immediately.
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick tickets and RF scanners, ensuring the correct product, quantity, size, and color are selected.
- Assemble and stage orders on pallets for shipment.
- Transport completed orders to designated shipping or staging areas.
- Verify that all shipments are complete, accurate, and free from damage before shipping.
- Report damaged merchandise, quality concerns, or inventory discrepancies to management.
- Tag and report open or damaged cartons stored on warehouse racks to maintain a safe work environment.
- Receive, unpack, count, sort, and label incoming products as needed.
- Utilize barcode scanning equipment and warehouse inventory systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate equipment, product, or facility issues promptly to the Shipping Supervisor or Manager.
- Support warehouse operations by performing additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience operating a cherry picker in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret pick tickets and shipping documents.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Target Compensation Range: The posted pay of $18/hr represents the anticipated hiring pay for this position. Individual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, internal compensation practices, and other job-related business considerations, consistent with applicable law.
