Shipping Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Description

This position provides shift leadership to warehouse and shipping operations within the Mauser Packaging Solutions, Large Packaging Division plant located in Addison, IL. The supervisor is responsible for coordinating production and shipping to ensure loads are shipped correctly and timely, as well as overseeing safety, equipment maintenance, quality, discipline, attendance, and enforcement of plant rules to efficiently operate the facility and department.

$67,000 - $81,000 per year, based on experience, location, and skills.

2:50 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed.

• Provide ongoing shift leadership to plant warehousing/shipping employees to ensure quality and delivery performance.
• Interact with supervisors, operators, engineers, management, maintenance, customer service, and customers.
• Apply knowledge of production scheduling, safety, housekeeping, and warehousing requirements.
• Supervise the movement of finished goods from receiving through shipping and returns.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and improve operating efficiencies, including employee productivity.
• Determine orders to ship and generate shipping documents (pack list, bills of lading, commercial invoice, etc.).
• Complete performance evaluations and provide continuous feedback, including disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate shipments and maintain a cohesive relationship with carriers.
• Ensure data integrity within enterprise systems such as TMC and SAP.
• Manage manpower, maintain morale, enforce fairness, and set challenging yet reasonable standards.

• Experience and broad knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, employee relations, and customer service.
• Computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with QAD or other warehouse management systems.
• Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Advanced problem‑solving ability and persistence.
• Availability for weekends and extended shifts.
• Basic math skills.
• Forklift/Power Industrial Truck certification.
• Self‑starter attitude.

• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift.
• Use of hands and fingers for job functions.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Lift up to 35 lbs.
• Work in non‑climate‑controlled environments up to 90 plus degrees.

• Plant operates 24/7, excluding holidays or pre‑arranged shutdowns.
• Base shift: 2nd shift Monday to Friday, 2:50 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Position is salaried exempt with a minimum 40‑hour work schedule on site, available for after‑hour calls or covering other supervisors’ time off.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
