I’m partnering with a well-established, publicly traded consumer-facing company to identify a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join a high-caliber corporate accounting and reporting team. This role offers direct exposure to SEC reporting, complex technical accounting, and collaboration across finance, FP&A, tax, and external auditors in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
This is a strong opportunity for a public accounting‑trained professional who enjoys owning external reporting, diving into technical accounting topics, and improving close and reporting processes.
What You’ll Be Doing- Prepare external financial reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and earnings releases.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including cash flow support and related schedules.
- Serve as a primary liaison with cross‑functional teams to obtain supporting documentation for SEC filings and financial statements.
- Prepare and support monthly consolidations, including select journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Manage ASC 842 lease accounting activities, including maintaining lease schedules, analyzing new leases and amendments, and reconciling to the general ledger.
- Coordinate and review XBRL tagging for all SEC filings.
- Assist with technical accounting research and documentation related to new accounting standards and non‑routine transactions.
- Support external audit requests and prepare required schedules.
- Identify opportunities to streamline the quarterly reporting process and better leverage ERP and reporting systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience, including public accounting.
- CPA or active CPA candidate strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing SEC filings and external financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, and SEC regulations.
- Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting highly desirable.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Self‑directed professional who can work independently and partner cross‑functionally.
- Experience with Workday Financials and SEC reporting platforms such as Active Disclosure is a plus.
Base salary up to $115,000
, plus 5% annual bonus
Hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office per week
