Senior Accountant

Pugh Executive Search seeks a driven, detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our North Dallas client!

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop two staff accountants, reviewing daily and monthly work for accuracy and completeness
• Own key components of the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month‑end close
• Oversee transactional accounting across AP, AR, cash, fixed assets, and related areas
• Prepare branch‑level and consolidated reporting as needed
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Serve as a contact for external auditors and participate in audit preparation
• Support process improvements, documentation, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Partner with leadership on special projects and ad‑hoc analysis

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
  Master’s a plus
• CPA or CPA‑eligible strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience from a Big 4 or Regional external audit firm auditing US GAAP
• Experience combining audit with general ledger or corporate accounting is a strong plus
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
• Self‑driven, organized, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
• Supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
