Staff Accountant Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes accurately and efficiently.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data and prepare supporting reports for management.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure accuracy of financial transactions and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare journal entries and account adjustments as needed.

• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
• Help analyze variances between budgeted and actual results.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial records regularly.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process invoices, payments, and vendor communications.
• Monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely collections and payments.

• Assist with financial analysis and reporting on key business metrics.
• Provide support for data-driven decision-making.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
