The Finance and Accounting Analyst Intern will support the Finance and Accounting team with project-based work and recurring reporting. This role will assist in analyzing financial data, improving reporting processes, and supporting key accounting initiatives. It is a hands‑on opportunity to gain exposure to real‑time business operations and financial decision-making. The internship will be a Fall 2026 position working onsite in Addison, TX.
Responsibilities- Support preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports.
- Assist with project-based work (process improvements, data cleanup, reporting enhancements).
- Compile, review, and validate financial data for accuracy.
- Build and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards.
- Partner with accounting team members on ad hoc analysis and special projects.
- Assist with variance analysis and trend reporting.
- Document processes and help identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Assist with data gathering and preparation for finance and accounting projects.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables; basic data analysis).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Relevant coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Academic projects involving financial analysis, reporting, or data interpretation.
- Basic experience using Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables).
- Exposure to financial statements through coursework or class assignments.
- Experience working on team projects and meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize data.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
- The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.
- Compliance with company attendance standards.
- Prolonged periods standing up and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Warehouse environment, climate control, and able to move around.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
