Staff Accountant; Real Estate - Addison

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant for a large real estate organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and has experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to process improvements while supporting a collaborative accounting team.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare high-volume journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Review balance sheets and income statements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support the month-end close process and meet established reporting deadlines.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights.
• Assist with recurring and ad hoc financial analyses and reporting requests.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, including support for SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional accounting teams.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• 1+ years of accounting experience, including financial statement preparation preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with Yardi or other property management/accounting software is a plus.
