Interim AP Manager

Our client in the Addison, TX area is seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Manager to provide leadership coverage during a temporary medical leave assignment. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing day-to-day AP operations while managing a team in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

• Lead and support a team of 5 Accounts Payable professionals
• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, approvals, payments, and reconciliations
• Review transactions for accuracy, coding, and compliance with internal controls
• Ensure timely vendor payments and resolution of payment-related issues
• Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to improve workflows and maintain efficiency
• Monitor AP activity, identify process improvements, and assist with reporting needs
• Serve as a working manager who is actively involved in daily AP processing and issue resolution

• Strong Accounts Payable leadership experience managing or supervising a team
• Extensive knowledge of full-cycle AP operations within a project-based business environment
• Experience supporting organizations with project accounting, engineering, consulting, construction, government contracting, or similar revenue models
• Deltek experience required;
  Deltek Costpoint experience strongly preferred
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
