Staff Accountant - Addison, TX

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant on behalf of a growing, multi-entity organization . This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 3+ years of general accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and experience supporting a publicly traded or complex multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable owning reconciliations and journal entries, analyzing financial results, and working independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across corporate-level entities.
• Prepare journal entries, including accruals, corporate expenses, credit card activity, and allocations to operating entities.
• Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
• Complete daily bank reconciliations, including research and posting of necessary entries.
• Analyze assigned general ledger accounts and prepare explanations for significant fluctuations and variances.
• Apply US GAAP and established accounting procedures to day-to-day accounting activities.
• Assist with quarterly review processes, annual audits, and SOX/internal control requirements.
• Partner effectively with internal teams, management, and external parties to resolve accounting issues and meet deadlines.
• Support accounting system implementations, special projects, and other initiatives as needed.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of general accounting experience.
• Experience with in a publicly traded company and/or multi-entity environment required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, accounting procedures, and SOX internal controls.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and performing variance analysis.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, functions, and Pivot Tables.
