Job Summary
Heads Up Technologies is seeking a highly skilled FAA Repair Station Technician to test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics equipment including switches, touchscreens, moving map systems, and video streaming devices.
About the RoleThis full‑time onsite position is located in Addison, TX. The technician must diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems using approved instructions and drawings, and ensure repaired units are returned to customers within a two‑week timeframe. Work days are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a compensation range of $20–$23 per hour based on qualifications, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities- Conduct board‑level troubleshooting to identify and resolve electronic issues.
- Perform product testing to verify proper functionality after repairs.
- Execute product repairs using hand tools and specialized equipment.
- Utilize soldering and desoldering techniques to address electronic components.
- Read and interpret schematics to guide repair processes accurately.
- Maintain effective multitasking abilities to manage multiple repair projects.
- Record repair data and parts used on associated paperwork for documentation.
- Collaborate with co‑workers and customers, demonstrating positive interpersonal skills.
- Adhere to strict quality standards and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in electronics repair.
- Proficient in board‑level troubleshooting and avionics repair processes.
- Experience with soldering, desoldering, reading schematics, and using multimeters.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent multitasking skills to manage concurrent repair projects.
- Self‑motivated quick learner capable of working independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
- Must be a U.S. citizen (FAA requirement).
- DOT drug testing pre‑employment and random quarterly (FAA requirement).
- Associate’s degree in Electronics.
