Star Harbor Care is a specialty backup childcare team serving working families across Dallas-Fort Worth. When a nanny is unavailable, school closes unexpectedly, or a child needs to stay home, our caregivers step in to provide dependable, high-quality care right in the family's home.

We are growing our caregiver team and are currently looking for both full-time and part-time caregivers.

At Star Harbor Care, you are not simply sent to a family and left on your own. You become part of a close-knit caregiver team that communicates, shares what we learn, supports one another, and takes pride in showing up exceptionally well for every family.

Most childcare shifts are 6–8 hours long and take place in family homes throughout Dallas-Fort Worth and North Dallas communities.

Schedules may vary based on family needs, making this a great fit for caregivers who enjoy variety, meeting new families, and working with children of different ages. So we look for individuals who are flexible and able to adapt to different environments.

Full-time and part-time schedules are available. We work with caregivers to understand their regular weekly availability and match assignments accordingly.

• Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children
• Arrive warmly and professionally and help children feel comfortable with you
• Follow each family's established routines, schedules, and household instructions
• Prepare simple meals and snacks as needed
• Keep children safe, engaged, and appropriately supervised
• Plan age-appropriate play, reading, crafts, outdoor activities, and other activities
• Maintain clear communication with families and the Star Harbor Care team
• Provide a brief update about the child's day at the end of each assignment

• Willing to commute to locations such as Carrollton, Richardson, Addison, etc for a shift
• Live in the mid north Dallas close to Addison/Carrollton area is a plus or within short distant drive
• Genuinely enjoy caring for children and connecting with new families
• Have experience as a nanny, preschool or daycare teacher, childcare provider, camp counselor, or consistent babysitter
• Are comfortable caring for up to two children at a time
• Can confidently transition into a new family's home and follow their routine
• Have at least 2-3 full WEEKDAYS available (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri) for shifts with a duration of 6-8 hours long.
• Are dependable, punctual, and communicate professionally
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Have current CPR & First Aid certifications
• Can successfully complete required background screening
• Can provide professional childcare references
