About The Company /
The Opportunity:
Join a leading restaurant group operating quick‑service brands across several states. The company is expanding rapidly and needs a skilled Construction Manager to drive new builds and remodels, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards while enhancing the guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee up to four general contractors on new construction and remodel projects to meet schedule and budget targets.
- Coordinate with the Facilities team to address maintenance and equipment replacement needs for existing locations.
- Conduct weekly NRO update calls and collaborate with operations, marketing, HR, and other stakeholders.
- Manage architects through floor‑plan design, permitting, and documentation processes.
- Oversee equipment ordering, delivery, and installation for new and renovated restaurants.
- Administer vendor bidding, scheduling, and procurement of signage, low‑voltage, and other specialty services.
- Maintain cost control, budgeting, and implement cost‑reduction initiatives while ensuring quality.
- Perform site visits to verify contractor performance, compliance with quality standards, and timely completion.
Must-Have
Skills:
- B.S. degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing restaurant construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction terminology, materials, blueprints, and techniques.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and restaurant operations.
- Advanced analytical and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight to construction sites across multiple markets.
Nice-to-Have
Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools.
- Negotiation and vendor management experience.
- Familiarity with quick‑service restaurant (QSR) operational standards.
- Experience coordinating punch‑list walk‑throughs and post‑construction turnover.
- Exposure to project management software and budgeting systems.
