Senior Visual Editor

Condé Nast is an international media group, owner of iconic brands such as Condé Nast Traveller, AD, Vogue, GQ, The New Yorker, Glamour, Vanity Fair, and Wired. The group is based in New York and operates in 32 markets worldwide, including China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Latin America, the Middle East, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and in collaboration with local licensed partners.

The Senior Visual Editor will be responsible for all aspects of photo production, mainly for brands and digital. The Senior Visual Editor must demonstrate excellent editorial skills and a great ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time. A broad knowledge of teams and industry relationships is indispensable, that is, strong relationships with agencies, photographers, stylists, studios, etc.

The Senior Visual Editor works closely with the brand content team and the Visual Director of  to ensure that client expectations are met and quality content is created for the Vogue France platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure all content meets Vogue France, Condé Nast, and the Creative Group standards in terms of brand integrity and production quality.
  • Manage the visual team on all aspects of photo shoot production, from ordering teams and liaising with vendors to ensure the smooth running of the shoot and adherence to budget.
  • Oversee contracts, image rights, and usage rights in collaboration with the branded content team and CN's legal department.
  • Manage the photo budget for  and all branded content production budgets (including negotiating rates with external suppliers).
  • Create assignments and process invoices on time; send shooting briefs.
  • Provide editorial and creative support to the team for the development of daily publication on all platforms—internal and external—playing a key role in planning, ordering, and validating projects.
  • Manage the daily workflow of , including task assignment, workload supervision, and visual quality of the site.
  • Manage the search for visuals for  sections and support the search for the print version of Vogue France.
  • Produce photo shoots in all areas.
  • Contribute to the visual direction for print-to-web production.
  • Obtain the necessary resources for web cropping, web clips, and You Tube videos.

Skills and qualifications desired:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in media or a related field; team management experience.
  • Knowledge of digital content, social media, and videos.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to participate in editorial decisions and develop visual narratives across all platforms.
  • Ability to creatively translate brand and client needs into premium production through a deep understanding of platform requirements.
