Education Administration, School Counselor
Trinity Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and knowledgeable Upper School College and Academic Counselor who is called to serve students with excellence and care. This individual will partner closely with the Director of College Counseling and report to the Head of Upper School.
In this role you will support students and families in academic planning and the college discernment process, helping students steward their God-given gifts and pursue their future with purpose. Grounded in biblical truth, this role encourages wise decision-making, academic growth, and Christ-centered character as students prepare for what lies ahead. The start date for this position is August 3, 2026.
General & Administrative Responsibilities- Work with Upper School students and parents in the college application and selection process
- Assist with college applications, letters of recommendation and financial aid applications
- Provide academic counsel for students and parents
- Plan and execute the annual college day program
- Serve as testing coordinator for the PSAT and PreACT administration for grades 9th-11th
- Serve as testing coordinator for Advanced Placement tests
- Act as a liaison between college representatives and students
- Stay current on changes to the college application process and update the school and students on changes
- Demonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work, and interactions with colleagues and others
- Master's degree is preferred
- Bachelor's degree is required
- College admissions or high school college counselor experience is preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Agree with and support TCA’s Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian values
- Regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, squat down, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
- Operate a computer, and other office equipment
- Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally be required to lift an/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to traverse school facilities and move between buildings
