Middle School Volleyball Coach

We are looking for a dedicated coach and Christ follower to help coach the Middle School Volleyball team for the  school year. This position will start August 2026 - October 2026 TCA’s Athletic Department utilizes sports and competition to teach transformational, life giving biblical truths to each student-athlete. As a coach at TCA you will not only help student athletes improve their athletic ability, you will remind them of the importance of academics, instill a Christian work ethic (Col.

3:23) and help strengthen their faith in Christ.

General Responsibilities Attend volleyball practices during off-season and the regular season

Plan and organize practices

Plan warm-up, conditioning and volleyball drills for practice

Attend pep rally when Middle School volleyball team is recognized

Document and plan weekly Biblical character lessons with Team Chaplain Attend all Middle School volleyball games

Assist with ordering for all volleyball uniforms

Responsible for volleyball tryouts for Middle School Manage miscellaneous items

Organize and run parent meetings

Communicate with parents on a weekly basis (scheduling, updates etc.)Ability to motivate and improve performance of athletes

Qualifications

A strong commitment to the positive development of the volleyball program at TCAAbility to instill teamwork and community within a group of athletes pointing them to Christ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working with middle school athletes in volleyball

Knowledge of the sport of volleyball

Ability to build a good rapport with student and parents

Agree with and support TCA’s Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian values

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, jump and run Normal physical demands of coaching

Night hours required
