Position: Upper School Cross Country Assistant Coach

Has a passion for their areas of specialty, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with parents, alumni and our TCA community

Welcomes the opportunity to disciple and mentor students, helping develop godly character in their lives

We are looking for a dedicated coach and Christ follower to be an Upper School (9th-12th grade) Cross Country Assistant Coach. This is a part-time, seasonal, stipend position. TCA utilizes sports and competition to teach transformational, life-giving biblical truths to each student-athlete. As a coach at TCA you will not only help student athletes improve their athletic ability, but you will also remind them of the importance of academics, instill a Christian work ethic (Col.

3:23) and help strengthen their faith in Christ. This position is for the 2026-27 school year.

General Responsibilities Attend all Upper School Cross Country practices (5 days per week)
Attend all Upper School Cross Country meets (1 per week)
Assist Head Varsity Coach with Cross Country parent meetings for Middle School, JV and Varsity Assist with communication with parents and administration

Qualifications

A strong commitment to the positive development of the Cross-Country program at TCAAbility to instill teamwork and community within a group of athletes pointing them to Christ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working with high school students in Cross Country preferred

Knowledge of the sport of running

Ability to build a good rapport with student and parents

Fully in line with TCA's Christian values and statement of Faith Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, jump and run Early mornings required
