Middle School Cheer Asst. Coach

We are looking for a dedicated coach and Christ follower to be a Middle School Cheer Assistant Coach. This is a part-time, seasonal, stipend position. The Middle School Cheer assistant coach must have the ability to jump, stunt, dance and cheer. TCA utilizes sports and competition to teach transformational, life-giving biblical truths to each student-athlete. As a coach at TCA you will not only help student athletes improve their athletic ability, but you will also remind them of the importance of academics, instill a Christian work ethic (Col.

3:23) and help strengthen their faith in Christ.

General Responsibilities Attend Middle School cheer practices during football and basketball season (3-4 per week)
Assist Middle School Cheer Head Coach in planning and organizing practices

Assist Middle School Cheer Head Coach in planning warm-up, conditioning, cheerleading drills for practice

Assist Middle School Cheer Head Coach in choreographing and teaching pep rally routines (2 routines)
Assist Middle School Cheer Head Coach in choosing and approving music for pep rally routines

Attend pep rallies that Middle School Cheer performs at (2-3)
Assist in documenting and planning weekly character lessons with Team Chaplain Attend all Middle School Football games (home and close away)
Alternate attending all Middle School basketball games (home and close away)
Assist Middle School Cheer Head Coach to teach jumps, stunts, cheer techniques and dance routines

Assist with fittings and ordering for all cheer uniforms for Middle School, JV and Varsity Assist Varsity Cheer Head Coach and JV Cheer Head Coach, and Middle School Cheer Head Coach with cheer tryouts and parent meetings for Middle School, JV and Varsity Attend Summer Cheer camp (first week of summer)
Attend Work Week in August to prepare for upcoming season

Assist with managing miscellaneous items (logistics, travel, ad sales, etc.)Assist in organization and presentation of parent meetings
