Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead automation projects for a dynamic industrial automation firm. This role requires expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/Delta
V systems, along with project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and commission control systems while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring project profitability.
- Design and implement control system architectures (PLC, DCS, HMI/SCADA).
- Develop schematics, panels, and network designs (under 480
VAC). - Lead project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and profitability.
- Commission systems on-site and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Manage client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical/Control, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field)
- Licensure: PMP certification a plus
- Experience:
- 8+ years in industrial automation (PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS/Delta
V). - 2-3 years minimum with Emerson Delta
V platform. - Experience in PLC-5 to Control Logix conversions.
- Project management for systems up to $10M.
