OverviewTRC is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to support our Transmission and Distribution substation operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, safety, and compliance with operational standards. We are seeking Technicians from entry level to senior. Compensation will vary based on experience.
Responsibilities- Conduct testing and routine maintenance of substation relaying (electro‑mechanical, solid state, and microprocessor types), control systems, and voltage regulation equipment.
- Calibrate protective relays and apply relay settings according to standards and operational requirements.
- Program Load Tap Changing (LTC) and voltage regulator controllers.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on substation relays and control devices within distribution substations.
- Plan and execute testing activities efficiently, adhering to schedules while ensuring service continuity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures, results, and equipment configurations.
- 1+ year of commissioning, panel and equipment checkout, relay calibration, testing, and repairing substation relaying and control schemes.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply test procedures for various types of substation equipment.
- Experience in SCADA, Fault Data, Sequence of Events Recorder (SER), and Integration‑Automation equipment installation and testing.

Salary range: USD $26.00 – $51.00 /Hr. Compensation will vary based on experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other factors. Employees may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program contingent on specific performance criteria.
