Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
Addison Group is partnering with a private equity backed retail company headquartered in Addison, TX to identify an Assistant Controller. This position will report directly to the VP, Controller and serve as a key business partner and right hand in leading the accounting function. The role will oversee the month, quarter, and year end close process, manage the external audit relationship, and support financial reporting initiatives in a dynamic, growth oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in US GAAP from public accounting along with a mindset focused on process improvement and operational efficiency.
This role is hybrid, and pays 150K-160K + 20% bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end consolidation processes across all subsidiaries.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
- Coordinate with external auditors to support the annual audit process.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline consolidation and reporting workflows.
- Evaluate and manage consolidation software/tools, ensuring effective usage across teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred
- CPA required
- 5-10 years of experience required
- Public accounting experience required
