Confidential Search About the OpportunityA highly successful and rapidly growing multi‑unit, multi‑state restaurant organization is conducting a confidential search for a strategic and hands‑on Chief Financial Officer. This executive will serve as a key partner to the CEO and leadership team, driving financial performance, scalability, and long‑term growth.
This is not a back‑office CFO role—we are seeking a leader who understands the operational heartbeat of a restaurant or retail business and can translate financial data into actionable strategy across a complex, multi‑location footprint.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all financial functions including FP&A, accounting, treasury, tax, and audit
- Partner with executive leadership to drive strategic planning, growth initiatives, and profitability
- Build and optimize financial infrastructure to support multi‑unit, multi‑state expansion
- Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes
- Deliver insights on unit‑level economics, labor models, and cost controls
- Oversee cash flow, capital structure, and banking relationships
- Evaluate M&A opportunities, site development investments, and new market expansion
- Ensure compliance with all financial, regulatory, and reporting requirements
- Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing finance team
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive within the restaurant, retail, or multi‑unit consumer‑facing industry
- Deep understanding of multi‑unit, multi‑state operations and unit‑level financial performance
- Strong background in scaling organizations through growth phases (organic and/or acquisition)
- Expertise in financial planning, analytics, and operational finance
- Experience working closely with ownership, private equity, or board stakeholders preferred
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional leaders and drive results
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent financial leadership credentials preferred
- High‑impact executive leadership position with direct influence on company growth and strategy
