~THE JOB:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant Manager with proven experience in the consumer goods industry to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee financial activities, ensure accurate reporting, and provide insights that support business decision-making, leveraging deep experience in the consumer goods industry, strong GAAP knowledge, and proven leadership in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
~THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Manage general ledger functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Monitor inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and product margin analysis specific to the consumer goods sector.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations to ensure accurate reporting of production costs, variances, and inventory valuations.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing detailed insights on business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting systems, internal controls, and process automation initiatives.
- Contribute to ERP system optimization and cross-functional projects.
~THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles, including 3+ years in a senior-level role.
- Experience in the consumer goods industry, particularly in manufacturing, distribution, or retail/eCommerce.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, COGS, and product costing.
- Proficiency in financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) and advanced Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities and team management experience.
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and able to work cross-functionally.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
