Senior Tax Accountant

Forward Financial is a diversified financial services holding company offering tax, bookkeeping, fractional controller, fractional CFO, and M&A Advisory services. Our primary focus is to support businesses with less than $100 million in revenue.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Senior located in Addison, TX. After your first 6 months, we are open to converting to a hybrid position. The Tax Senior will oversee tax planning, compliance, preparation, and ensure adherence to tax laws for business, personal, and trust tax returns. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing tax filings, advising clients on tax issues, and developing staff in tax technical skills, client relationship management, and other areas.

• 3-5 years of experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns and providing tax consulting advice
• Strong understanding of tax principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to take ownership of projects and client relationships
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Experience with Lacerte, Sure Prep, Karbon, Quick Books (online and desktop)
• Experience with estate, gift, and trust taxation for UHNW individuals and family offices
• Experience with passthrough entities, especially S Corporations
• Business development experience
• CPA or EA certification preferred
