Greenly Carbon Management Role
Greenly was founded in 2019 by Alexis, Matthieu and Arnaud with one mission: make carbon management as essential as financial management.
Today, we are a global leader in carbon accounting, proudly B-Corp certified and part of the French Tech 120. Our climate suite combines smart data collection with intuitive automation, helping companies measure, reduce, and report their emissions with ease — supported at every step by our in-house climate experts.
More than 3,500 companies in 20+ countries use Greenly to manage their climate strategy: from carbon assessments and life-cycle analyses to SBTi trajectories and compliance with CSRD and CBAM.
We are now a team of 200+ people from 40+ nationalities, based in Paris, London, Barcelona, and New York.
To date, we've tracked over 200 million tons of CO₂ through our platform. Our next milestone: 10,000 clients and one billion tons of CO2 under management.

You'll be part of the staff team, reporting directly to our CEO (Alexis) and COO (Laetitia). The role sits at the intersection of the CEO office, finance, strategy, investor relations, M&A and business operations — a high-exposure seat close to the company's most important strategic decisions: board discussions, investor communication, capital allocation, performance management and complex strategic projects.
This intentionally broad position is designed for someone who wants to understand how a company is run end-to-end, from board and investor communication to budgeting, M&A, performance management and operational execution. Over time, it can become a platform for broader leadership responsibilities.
1. CEO office & strategic execution — Act as a close partner to the CEO on high-priority topics: prepare strategic memos, decision documents and executive presentations; support CEO-level prioritization and follow-up; help prepare leadership meetings, board meetings and investor updates; coordinate cross-functional projects across finance, sales, product, customer success, legal and operations; translate strategy into clear operating priorities; identify bottlenecks, risks and execution gaps;
and support sensitive, confidential initiatives.
2. KPI leadership & business steering — Strengthen Greenly's KPI architecture: translate the annual budget into operational KPIs; improve business planning and scenario analysis; help define the trajectory across growth, profitability and cash; track key indicators (ARR, bookings, churn, NRR, gross margin, burn, runway, sales efficiency); help leadership understand the financial implications of their decisions; and strengthen budget ownership across teams.
3. Corporate development, M&A & strategic transactions — Support Greenly's corporate development agenda in a consolidating market: analyse acquisition, merger and partnership opportunities; build investment cases; prepare valuation and synergy analyses; support due diligence; work with investors, lawyers, bankers and advisors; prepare board materials for transactions; and help design and track post-merger integration and value creation.
4. Investor relations, board communication & governance — Help prepare board decks, investor updates, financing and lender/banking materials, strategic financial narratives, and performance reviews — communicating Greenly's performance, strategy and trajectory with clarity, rigor and credibility.
5. Performance management & operating discipline — Improve management reporting and CEO/leadership dashboards; track budget vs. actuals; analyse performance by segment, geography, product or team; identify productivity and margin opportunities; clarify KPI ownership; support bonus/incentive calculations; and improve recurring business reviews.
You are a great fit if you:
- Have 4–8 years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, a CFO office, or strategic finance in a SaaS/B2B software company
- Have strong project management skills — able to drive complex, cross-functional projects end-to-end
- Bring strong finance skills — excellent analytical and financial modelling…
