Senior Director, Restructuring
FTI Consulting's Paris team specializes in advising companies through periods of financial distress, with a primary focus on Chief Restructuring Advisor (CRA) and Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) mandates. In these roles, Senior Directors lead complex turnaround engagements that combine strategic, financial, and operational expertise. Core responsibilities span the full engagement lifecycle: conducting business reviews to assess a company's financial position, managing cash and working capital through tools such as 13-week cash flow forecasting, and designing recovery plans that may include collective redundancy programs.
The team is also closely involved in contingency planning and insolvency proceedings, offering broad exposure to the full spectrum of restructuring finance.
Within that context, we are currently seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Director to join our leading Restructuring team in Paris.
Delivering engagements by:
- Shaping engagement scope, approach, and deliverables
- Delivering projects within time and budget constraints
- Keeping clients and stakeholders informed on progress, findings, and issues
- Coaching and developing junior team members
- Developing early views to pressure-test with senior leadership
- Owning and delivering a significant portion of the client output
- Stepping in for Senior Managing Directors as needed
Leading business development activities, including:
- Contributing to departmental initiatives including key accounts, pursuits, business development, recruitment, and practice development
- Preparing and leading formal pitches
- Acting as a counsellor and mentor to support junior team members' professional development
- Preparing for and participating in training activities
- Building and maintaining personal relationship networks

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for excellence
Comfortable leading in fast-paced, team-based environments
Strong financial modelling, quantitative, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and networking skills
Deep knowledge of restructuring, insolvency, and turnaround principles
Proven ability to lead teams and work streams
Proactive with a genuine drive to contribute to the success of the Corporate Finance practice
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power Point
Skilled at managing overlapping tasks and shifting priorities
Extensive and relevant Restructuring experience in a Consulting firm
Educated to degree level from a leading university or Grande École, in a numerate or business-related subject
Professional qualification (DSCG, CFA, or equivalent) a plus
