Clinical Research Coordinator
Job Description
This full-time Clinical Research Coordinator position supports an asthma clinical trial at a dedicated research site in the Addison, TX area. You will focus on identifying and recruiting eligible participants, educating them about the study, and supporting their continued engagement and protocol compliance throughout the trial. The role requires hands-on clinical research coordination experience, strong patient recruitment skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and the ability to communicate clearly.
Responsibilities
+ Review electronic medical records (EMR) to identify potential participants and evaluate them against protocol-defined inclusion and exclusion criteria.
+ Conduct pre-screening of potential participants to confirm eligibility in line with the study protocol and regulatory requirements.
+ Recruit and enroll participants into the asthma clinical trial, ensuring all consent and enrollment processes comply with applicable guidelines and regulations.
+ Provide clear, thorough education to participants about the clinical trial, including study procedures, expectations, risks and benefits, and follow-up requirements.
+ Maintain regular follow-up communication with participants to support retention, address questions, and promote ongoing adherence to study procedures.
+ Schedule in-person study visits and follow-up appointments, and send timely reminders and relevant information to participants.
+ Document chart reviews, pre-screening activities, recruitment efforts, and all participant interactions accurately and promptly in the EMR and study records.
+ Collaborate with research staff and site personnel to ensure smooth study operations and consistent application of study protocols.
+ Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and HIPAA requirements in all aspects of participant contact, data handling, and documentation.
+ Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and data quality.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience working as a Clinical Research Coordinator or Clinical Research Assistant.
+ At least 1 year of patient recruitment experience in a clinical research setting.
+ At least 1 year of experience working with electronic medical records (EMR).
+ Fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively communicate with a diverse participant population.
+ Formal training in HIPAA regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple participants and tasks simultaneously.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for participant education and interaction with research staff.
+ High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
+ Ability to interpret and apply study protocols, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and regulatory requirements.
+ Comfort working directly with patients in a clinical research environment, including conducting chart reviews and pre-screening.

Experience with chart review and pre-screening workflows in clinical trials.
+ Experience in asthma or respiratory-related clinical research is beneficial.
+ Ability to build rapport with participants and support their continued engagement in the study.

+ Commitment to ethical research conduct and participant privacy.

This is a full-time, onsite role at a clinical research site in the Addison, TX area, operating during normal business hours. The environment is fast-paced and detail-oriented, with frequent interaction with study participants, research staff, and electronic medical record systems. You will work in a professional clinical setting focused on high-quality research and strict adherence to regulatory and privacy standards.
