Description Position Summary

THIS POSITION IS FOR ALL OUR CLINICS IN TEXAS AND ARIZONA

Intra Care is seeking a qualified and compassionate PRN Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide high-quality primary care services on an as-needed basis across our clinics.

The PRN APP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients while providing comprehensive, patient-centered care consistent with Intra Care's clinical standards. This position is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) seeking flexibility while maintaining an active clinical practice.

The provider will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care and a positive patient experience.

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up care.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable laws and clinical guidelines.
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and imaging.
  • Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling to patients.
  • Manage chronic disease conditions and monitor treatment effectiveness.
  • Identify changes in patient condition and determine appropriate escalation or referral.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Complete clinical documentation, orders, referrals, and other required records within established timelines.
  • Provide coverage for clinics based on PRN staffing needs and provider availability.
  • Follow all organizational policies, clinical protocols, compliance requirements, and quality standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives as requested.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, clinical staff, and leadership.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other clinical duties as assigned.
PRN Responsibilities

Because this is a PRN position, the provider is expected to:

  • Maintain reliable communication regarding availability.
  • Accept shifts based on availability and clinic staffing needs.
  • Arrive on time and be prepared to provide patient care for scheduled shifts.
  • Follow the PRN scheduling and cancellation procedures.
  • Provide appropriate handoff and documentation when completing a shift.
  • Maintain required credentials, licenses, certifications, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the applicable state.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
  • National board certification appropriate to the provider's discipline.
  • Current BLS certification

  • Eligible for or able to obtain applicable state prescribing privileges.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.

Preferred:

  • Primary care or outpatient clinic experience.
  • Experience managing chronic conditions and preventative care.
  • Experience working in a value-based care environment.
  • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid or other managed-care populations.
  • Experience working in a multi-site healthcare organization.
